The only constant in this universe is change. Those who dont change perish. One should never be scared of change. Change is what keeps you alive. This is the basic survival technique. Species which do not adapt to changes in their surrounding environment get extinct.

The same logic holds for your career. One has to take risks and adapt to changes. Dont just sit on you ass, because you think that you job is safe. Never get complacent. I repeat, never be scared of taking risks. Without taking risks, one can never make any progress.
